Braunstone Gate and West End Community is a local group, aiming to create a safe, enriching, and sustainable environment that supports local people, whilst encouraging community spirit and pride.

Regular events, run by professionals from the neighbourhood, are held in the Bede Street Arches and at other venues in the West End. Over the past two years, the community group has hosted film festivals, food stalls, arts and craft classes and group walks. A Community Garden has also been built on Bede Street, which anyone from the area can access and use.

To find out what's happening, take a look at our projects page or follow us on our Facebook @braunstonegateplacesforpeople and Instagram @braunstonegatecommunity.

Join us to forge new friendships and connections and use our events as a new way to hang out with friends and family.

The Braunstone Gate and West End Community rely on volunteers and funds from the local government, businesses, the local community, and good samaritans. We need volunteers to survive and thrive. We like most other charities have struggled through COVID-19 and are looking for ways to rebuild and be better. If this sounds like something you are interested in joining please email us today at

Information is also posted on the Red Notice Board on Braunstone Gate LE3 5LG, and featured in Western Gazette.
